KPLC TV in Lake Charles ran this story on Tuesday about three Pogie net fish spills confirmed by the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries last week in Southwest Louisiana. The Department confirmed that Daybrook Fisheries and Omega Protein were each responsible for incidents between Sept. 11 and Sept. 14. These incidents caused thousands of dead pogies, redfish and other species to end up on Rutherford Beach and Holly Beach in Cameron Parish.
CCA will keep our members posted as the situation develops. Click the link below to view the KPLC story.
