RIDE THE BULL XV — WORLD’S LARGEST KAYAK FISHING TOURNAMENT

August 28–29, 2026 | Grand Isle, Louisiana | Bridgeside Marina

Welcome to Ride the Bull — where the Gulf Coast comes alive, the bull reds are running, and hundreds of kayak anglers converge on the waters of Grand Isle for the most electric two days in kayak fishing.

Now in its 15th year, Ride the Bull is more than a tournament. It’s a movement. Born from a love of Louisiana’s coastal waters and the kayak fishing community that fights to protect them, RTB has grown into the world’s largest kayak fishing tournament — and a flat-out celebration of everything that makes fishing the Louisiana marsh unforgettable.

THE TOURNAMENT RTB is a catch-and-release bull redfish tournament fished entirely from kayaks. Competitors launch at dawn and work the legendary waters of Caminada Pass — one of the most productive bull red fisheries on the entire Gulf Coast — chasing the oversized reds that define Louisiana’s coastal fishery. Every fish released swims back to the Gulf as a future brood stock fish, continuing the conservation mission that CCA Louisiana has championed for decades.

The action doesn’t stop at the water’s edge. Thanks to our partnership with FishingChaos, you can watch the live leaderboard update in real time as chase boats enter fish from the water — keeping friends, family, and fans locked in on every catch, all day long.
