Coastal Conservation Education for Louisiana's Youth
Outreach is a program designed to educate, excite and intrigue youngsters and adults about recreational fishing and the conservation of our marine resources.
The presentation is an enthusiastic “show and tell” including audio/visual, demonstrations and hands on participation. The subject matter includes CCA & conservation doctrine, fish identification, equipment/technique, interesting (neat) facts and wraps up with Q & A. All in attendance will receive applicable literature and product.
The statewide program is free of charge and available year-round. Schools, scouting groups, 4-H clubs, men’s and women’s clubs and other interested organizations may request an Outreach visit. The Outreach team will also give demonstrations at tradeshows, fishing tournaments, seminars and promotional events.
Youth attendees will receive an application for a free New Tide membership and STAR tournament entry. Content, subject matter, and time will be tailored to the group’s age, attention span and demographics.
To request an Outreach visit or partnership information, contact the office (225) 952-9200.
